IMS DUBAI SWEEPSTAKES
OFFICIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Sweepstakes consist of certain phases as set forth below:

Submissions for the Sweepstakes (each, an “Entry”, collectively, the “Entries”) will be accepted from the time at which the Opportunity Portal (as defined below) is made available on September 10, 2024 at 12:00am BST to October 4, 2024 at 14:00pm BST (the “Entry Period”). Entries received before or after the Entry Period will not be accepted or eligible to win. Sponsor’s clock is the official clock of these Sweepstakes. 

NOTE: ALL DATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION. PLEASE REFER TO THE OPPORTUNITY PORTAL FOR ACTUAL DATES. IF ANY DATES ON THESE SWEEPSTAKES WEBSITE ARE DIFFERENT THAN THOSE POSTED HERE, THE SWEEPSTAKES WEBSITE WILL BE THE TRUE AND ACTUAL DATE.

These Sweepstakes are open to the world. To enter these Sweepstakes, you are required to be eighteen (18) years of age or older, or, if under the age of eighteen (18), you must obtain consent from a parent or a legal guardian to be considered eligible. These Sweepstakes are subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is not valid in Brunei, Afghanistan, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Fiji, Gambia, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Libya, Micronesia, North Korea, Pakistan, Palau, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, and Syria, and anywhere else where such sweepstakes may be void by law.

In addition, these Sweepstakes are not open to: (a) employees of Sponsor or any of the companies offering a prize for these Sweepstakes, any advertising, promotion, production or publicity agency doing business with any of the above, or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries, and affiliated companies, or any member of the immediate family or individual living in the same household of such employees (whether related or not) or of anyone connected with the administration of these Sweepstakes. Sponsor may prohibit any Entrant from participating in or winning these Sweepstakes if, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, Sponsor determines the Entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of these Sweepstakes by (i) cheating, deceiving, or utilizing other unfair practices; (ii) violating these Terms and Conditions; (iii) refusing to accept any prizes or complete any obligations therefor; (iv) submitting an Entry which violates the copyright of another; or (v) acting in any disruptive manner during, or after, these Sweepstakes.

To participate and enter into these Sweepstakes, you must sign up for the official IMS Dubai mailing list via the link: https://internationalmusicsummit.com/dubai/sign-up (the “Sweepstakes Website”) prior to the conclusion of the Entry Period. By entering into these Sweepstakes, you agree to receive email communications at the email address provided from Sponsor for promotional purposes, from which you may unsubscribe at any time without affecting your Entry.

Each Entrant may enter only once, and each Entry should be submitted only once. Entrants are prohibited from submitting multiple Entries under different email addresses to increase their chances of winning; only the first Entry will be considered valid, and any subsequent Entries will not be counted. Sponsor is not responsible for any changes or effects caused to the Entrant's computer system as a result of a submission of an Entry.

From all Entries submitted during the Entry Period, Sponsor will randomly select one (1) Winner to receive the Prizes (as defined below). Upon the determination of the Winner, the Sponsor shall announce the Winner via Sponsor’s officially branded social media platforms on a date to be specified by the Sponsor on the Sweepstakes Website (the “Winner Announcement Date”).

The prizes for these Sweepstakes (each a “Prize” and collectively, the “Prizes”) are as follows:

• two (2) complimentary delegate badges for IMS Dubai;
• individual hotel accommodation including breakfast for you and a guest of your choice at Media One Hotel during the duration of IMS Dubai; and,
• credit for two (2) return flights, not to exceed five hundred ($500.00USD) in total value per flight.

Total approximate value = two thousand and two hundred and eighty-two dollars ($2,282 USD).

All estimated values are provided in GBP. In order to accept the above Prizes, you must provide: (i) proof of age, and if under eighteen (18) years of age, proof of consent by either a parent or legal guardian to Sponsor to determine the validity of your Entry. In order to be eligible to receive any Prizes, Winner must possess a valid visa, or any other applicable travel documentation necessary to accept the Prizes. Winner shall be solely responsible for travel to IMS Dubai.

All incidental expenses not expressly set forth in the Prizes will be the responsibility of the Winner. No substitution, cash redemption or transfer of the Prizes by Winner is permitted, but Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for all listed Prize items.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries received. Any taxes owed as a result of winning are the sole responsibility of the Winner.

The Winner will be contacted by Sponsor on or around the Winner Announcement Date at the email address provided upon submission of the Entry to the Opportunity Portal. If Winner fails to respond to Sponsor’s attempt to contact the Winner within five (5) days, the Winner may forfeit their right to receive the Prizes.

It is expressly understood that the Sponsor is under no obligation to you other than as expressly set forth in these Terms and Conditions. Sponsor shall not be responsible for any damages, taxes, or expenses that Winner may incur as a result of this Sweepstakes or receipt of the Prizes.

You agree to release, indemnify, defend and hold harmless Sponsor, their respective licensees, franchisees, affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, successors and their respective directors, officers, employees, and advertising and production agencies from all claims, losses, liabilities and demands arising out of or in connection with (i) your participation in these Sweepstakes, (ii) your acceptance, possession, or use of the Prizes, and, without limiting the generality of the above, from any loss of or damage to property or injury or death to any person while using the Prizes or participating in these Sweepstakes, or (iv) any claim that your Entry or Sponsor’s distribution, or commercialization of the Entry violates any copyright, intellectual property right, or other proprietary right of any party.

Winner waives the right to (1) assert as a claim the cost of winning any Prizes and all costs of verification and redemption to redeem said Prizes, and (2) any liability claim which might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem the Prizes.

Sponsor is not responsible for phone, network, electronic or computer hardware or software failure or technical failures of any kinds, lost or unavailable network connections, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, whether caused by Sponsor or another party, or by any of the programming or equipment associated with or utilized in the promotion or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of which may damage a user’s system or limit your ability to participate in these Sweepstakes.

If for any reason your Entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, your sole remedy is the opportunity to provide another Entry to these Sweepstakes, provided the Entry Period has not expired.

Sponsor will not disclose any personal data relating to Entrants without consent to third parties unless the third party is for a permitted company purpose. Personal data will be retained for a reasonable and proportionate period after these Sweepstakes closes to allow Sponsor to manage queries on these Sweepstakes.

Sponsor shall take reasonable steps and technical measures by using security software to prevent personal data from being misused.

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify these Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof) if fraud, misconduct, or technical failures destroy the integrity of these Sweepstakes or if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper administration of these Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to prohibit the participation of an individual if fraud or tampering is suspected, or if the individual fails to comply with any requirement of participation as stated herein or with any provision in these Terms and Conditions.

By entering these Sweepstakes, you grant your express permission to be contacted by Sponsor via email, or any other Sponsor-branded social channels. By participating in these Sweepstakes, you hereby acknowledge and agree that the Sponsor may collect and use the personal information submitted by you to administer these Sweepstakes is pursuant to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, located here:

Only an authorized officer of Sponsor shall have the right to modify or amend these Terms and Conditions. As such, Sponsor reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions for any reason, or no reason at all, at any time. Likewise, Sponsor reserves the right in their sole discretion to cancel or suspend these Sweepstakes at any time for any reason, or no reason at all.

Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision.

You agree that: (i) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with these Sweepstakes or the Prizes awarded shall be resolved individually, without resorting to any form of class action, and exclusively by the laws of England and Wales, or the appropriate court located in England and Wales; (ii) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering these Sweepstakes but you may not recover any attorneys’ fees, costs, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages; and (iii) to the extent not prohibited by applicable law, you waive any right to a jury trial in any forum in respect to any issue, claim, or cause of action arising out of or based on the subject matter hereof. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Terms and Conditions, or the rights and obligations of you and Sponsor in connection with these Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. These Sweepstakes are void where prohibited, restricted, or regulated by law. Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any of its rights or these Terms and Conditions at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. You hereby represent and warrant that you have read these Terms and Conditions and are fully familiar with the contents.
