India Allen

India Allen is Head of A&R at Night Department, where she oversees the creative direction and output across a roster that includes Sara Landry, Eli Brown, Ben Hemsley, Disfreq, AK SPORTS, and Claude Von Stroke. Her role spans the full spectrum of record-making – from setting up sessions and sourcing toplines to clearing samples and shaping the sonic identity of each artist. Known for a good ear and forward-thinking perspective, she plays a central role in delivering records that cut through both culturally and authentically.

With over a decade of experience in artist development and publishing, India has helped forge collaborations that bridge the electronic and pop worlds – she has been involved with releases from international, A-list, artists while maintaining strong ties to both underground and mainstream scenes. She holds a broad and trusted network across London, Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris, Stockholm, and Seoul, and continues to work closely with many of the industry’s most respected producers and songwriters.

Alongside her role at Night Department, she runs Illa Music Management (representing Rules, Dan Heath, Kyle Mangels, Maria Metaxa, and ASHLEY) and the independent label Illa Records, home to Mutual and ASHLEY.

Previously, India worked as a consultant for Good Company, playing a key role in signing and developing Navos, That Kind, and Eden Prince.
