Karam Toubba is a DJ, public speaker, event organizer, curator, cultural consultant and a passionate advocate for the growth of the local and regional music community across the MENA region. With over 20 years of experience, he has been instrumental in shaping the UAE’s music and cultural landscape. His career spans a wide range of roles, from DJing alongside some of the world’s top electronic music artists to curating key cultural events. As a resident DJ at Rave Movement parties and the music director of Decibel DXB, Karam was central to bringing internationally renowned DJs from the global club and festival circuits to the UAE.
Karam has played a vital role in curating significant cultural events, including the Al Hosn Festival, Abu Dhabi Art, and the opening of the Bassam Freiha Art Foundation. He also founded and operated MiZa Radio, Abu Dhabi’s first online radio platform, which has provided a stage for over 100 local and regional artists, fostering emerging talent across the Middle East. Karam is proud to serve on the UNESCO City of Music Taskforce, led by the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, where he collaborates with other esteemed cultural leaders from both the public and private sectors to advance the UAE’s creative ecosystem.
