President, Live Nation Spain (Italy)
The creative side of the business of promoting concerts, came to Live Nation with the arrival of Pino Sagliocco, a promoter who has continually shown the ability to create ground-breaking events, that have always sparked interest in both the media and amongst the general public. It was his idea to fuse the vastly different musical styles of Freddie Mercury and Monserrat Caballé, creating the most famous duet in Spanish history for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in 1992
Pino is also responsible for creating the mythical Ibiza 92, and for the unforgettable Michael Jackson shows in Zaragoza and in the port of Las Palmas, as well as a list of legendary shows with Prince, Madonna, etc.
He also managed the career of Spain’s most recognized flamenco dancer Joaquín Cortés, launching the dancer as an international star.
Since starting in Spain in 1980, Pino has enjoyed a long and extensive career promoting both cultural events as well as major concerts.
He has organized and staged the Spanish tours of some of the most famous international stars: Luis Miguel, Alicia Keys, Elton John, Lenny Kravitz, Iron Maiden, Paul McCartney, Björk, to name a few.
Pino Sagliocco brings to the portfolio of Live Nation Spain, a career in the music business without precedent in Europe, and remains an authentic “a la carte” creator of musical events of all types.
