Music Research Lead, Audience Strategies / Fair Play (UK)

Rufy is a London-based expert in product development, digital operations, and research, with over eight years of experience in the music industry. A Tech Nation alumna, she has held key roles at companies such as ByteDance (TikTok) and AMRA (Kobalt Music Group).

She is the co-author of PROMPT for Musicians, a guide designed to help artists and industry professionals leverage AI language models like ChatGPT. Rufy also led the research for The Third UK Electronic Music Industry Report for NTIA, offering critical insights into the resilience, creativity, and economic impact of the electronic music sector.

Beyond research and strategy, she has contributed to publications such as Billboard, exploring the transformative role of AI in music production, marketing, and operations. Her expertise has led to speaking engagements at major industry events, including Slush, Eurosonic, and NTIA Summit.

Passionate about the intersection of music, technology, and innovation, Rufy is dedicated to driving meaningful change in the industry. This commitment, alongside her deep love for electronic music as both a fan and a DJ, has led her to take on the role of Project Manager for Fair Play, an independent initiative focused on promoting fairness and transparency in the electronic music industry's rights and royalties landscape.
