Shana Gujral

Shana G is a London based, South Asian female DJ, radio host, and co-founder of Asian artist database, Family of East. Shana bought her first decks at the age of 16, soon making her way to mixing at festivals and the biggest nights from Village Underground to Stealth and Rock City.

Shana recently had her debut on BBC Radio 1 in 2024, covering for Sarah Story and warming up for Pete Tong on Friday night. Shana's versatile and nostalgic selections have been featured on BBC Asian Network, the Lot Radio, Voices, Foundation FM, Subtle Radio, Selector Radio and has joined the Daytimers show on Reprezent Radio. Shana regularly DJ's for brands such as Spotify and 1REBEL.

In 2024, Shana co-founded Asian Artist database, Family of East, creating a collective of the best talent from the diaspora, giving much needed representation across the music industry. They have been featured by Mixmag, DJ Mag and BBC 6 Music.

Whatever the context, Shana’s philosophy is to create dancefloors where everyone is included. Shana’s music collection is rooted in nostalgia, expertly blending a mix of 90s House, Disco and Trance and some surprises, so expect the unexpected.
