Safer Space Policy
At IMS Ibiza we are committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all attendees, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, ability, religion, or any other characteristic. We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy our event free from harassment, discrimination, and intimidation.
To ensure the safety and comfort of all participants, we have established the following guidelines:
- Respect: Treat everyone with kindness, respect, and empathy. Recognize and appreciate the diversity of experiences and perspectives within our community.
- Consent: Respect personal boundaries and consent. Always obtain explicit consent before engaging in any physical contact or taking photographs or videos of others.
- Zero Tolerance for Harassment: Harassment of any form, including but not limited to verbal abuse, intimidation, unwelcome advances, and discriminatory behaviour, will not be tolerated. If you experience or witness harassment, please report it immediately to a member of our staff or security team.
- Inclusive Language: Use inclusive language that acknowledges and respects people of all genders, sexual orientations, and identities. Refrain from using derogatory or offensive language or making jokes that perpetuate stereotypes. If you are unsure of someone's pronoun, refer to them as ‘they’ until you can be reliably informed or ask directly. When addressing a group of people try and find an alternative to ‘hey guys’ - replace with hi folks/all/everyone/team.
- Respect Personal Space: Respect the personal space and belongings of others. Avoid touching or using items without permission.
- Support: If someone tells you that they feel uncomfortable or unsafe, take their concerns seriously and offer support. Encourage them to report the incident to a staff member or security personnel.
- Be Mindful of Noise Levels: Electronic music events can be loud, please be mindful of the volume of your voice when communicating with others. Use headphones or earplugs if necessary to protect your hearing.
By attending IMS Ibiza, you agree to abide by these guidelines and contribute to creating a safe and inclusive space for all participants. Together, we can build a community that celebrates diversity, creativity, and mutual respect.
Thank you for helping us make IMS Ibiza a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
